I would search through this empty darkness
“I would search through this empty darkness” is a series of paintings about transformation. It’s about the fascination with the dark, mysterious, unexplained magic energy of the soul. It’s about the allure of the north, which means fantasy, myth and adventure, but also fear of the unknown. A dive deep into the darkness of the night to search for the morning light.
It’s about all the small things, and why they matter for our growth and mental wellbeing.
The name of the series is inspired by the lyrics of “What about love?”***
There is a hole in the sky tonight
Dare the moon drift too far from sight
I would search through this empty darkness
To see your face in the morning light
We've been lost in a sea of confusion
Got caught up in a selfish illusion
But make no mistake, I will bend till I break
Don't let fate make the choice for us
